It's been almost two years to the day
Since we all said goodbye and you went away
The pain of your passing still hurts so much
How we all long for your kind, gentle touch.

I've heard it said that time eases pain
But my teardrops still fall like rain
Haunted by things I should have said and done
Sometimes life without you ain't much fun.

Heaven must be a remarkable place
Far removed from this life's rat race
No more pain, no sickness, no sorrow
Where you don't have to worry about tomorrow.

One day on High, I'll see you once more
When I have finished my earthly chore
I miss you, Daddy, more as each day goes by
Sometimes I hang my weary head and cry.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DAD
