It's too hot in Texas as everyone knows
As you try to cool you can't lose enough clothes
Be sure to keep plenty of liquids on hand
If you're between the Red River & the Rio Grande.

Battling the thermometer, trying to survive
You've succeeded if you make it to autumn alive
The Texas heat is a killer, they say
It leaves you begging & pleading for one cool day.
