THE LONG ROAD BACK

The long road back from stroke has many twists and turns
The roadside is littered with questions, cares, and concerns
On this journey, you can expect some rough terrain,
Encounter a little bit of sunshine and a lot of rain.

If you move too fast, you could spin out of control
And wind up in a six foot by eight foot hole
This is not an easy road on which to travel
One mistake and it could all unravel.

If you really want to make it back
Do all you can to stay on track
Since it’s such a long and winding road
Ask the Good Lord to lighten the load.

Trust in God and everything will all work out
Have lots of faith and never doubt
Stay the course and you’ll survive the long road back
Just don’t allow your willpower to crack.
