Thanksgiving is more than just a time of year
To gather together from far and near
It should be an ongoing show of gratitude
That you reflect daily in your attitude

Be grateful for the blessings you receive
Give thanks to the Lord in whom we believe
Reach out and do what you can do
To help those less fortunate than you

Donate clothing that you no longer wear
Open your heart and show that you care
We could all stand to be a little less greedy
And do what we can to help the needy

Let your attitude of gratitude outlast the holiday
Carry it with you each and every day
Do whatever you can, big or small
And give thanks to the Lord, Creator of All.
