So much damage can come from rumors
They can be as harmful as cancerous tumors
Messages relayed without backing of fact
It's no way for a responsible adult to act.

Rumors can lead to so much sadness
Think before you speak, stop the madness
A rumor spread will continue to grow
Winds of confusion will steadily blow.

Rumors can damage your reputation
They can lead to divorce or separation
Once a rumor starts it's full steam ahead
Like fire in the wind, it will spread.

Rumors can put relationships on the line
Just seek the truth and you'll be fine
Know the facts when you open your mouth
To keep your life from going south.
