HOW?

How?

How can anyone be so cruel
To use our planes as their destruction tool?
How many people needlessly died
As the planes pierced the building's side?

How can they hold life in such little regard
To think American lives were theirs to discard?
Their only goal was to seek and destroy
To rob our nation of its safety and joy.

How can anyone carry out such an evil deed?
They want us all to die, to suffer and bleed
This unprovoked act knocked us off our feet
But there will be Hell to pay when next we meet.

We will keep the memory of our fallen alive
The U.S. will recover, will prosper & thrive
Our grief is cause for their celebration
But they will not break our great nation.
