I think what Dr. King had in mind
Was for all of us to be color-blind
Look beyond the skin and see the heart
Only then can real progress start.
Prejudice and discrimination have no place
We are all members of the Human race
Throw away any bias you may be feeling
For only then can the wounds start healing.
We can learn from the mistakes of long ago
There's much work to be done as we all know
Together, we can see it through
And make a better world for me and you.
Now is the time to let go of the pain
You've got nothing to lose and much to gain
Be more Christ-like in dealing with others
Through God, you are all my sisters & brothers.
