You encouraged me, never stood in my way
Many times you worked till your fingers bled
Just to keep your family fed.

As for your duties you went above and beyond
Thank you, Dad, of whom we're all so fond
You freely gave the wisdom of your years
Together we shared both laughter and tears.

You're the yardstick that measures me as a man
That's why I'm your biggest fan
So much of who I am comes from you
Your love is always unconditional and true.

It's time again to honor dear old Dad
Who cheered me up when I was sad
No amount of money could ever pay
How much I value you in every way.
